Marisabel De La Cruz decided to be a body and energy worker at 17 years old. Now 24 years later she is empowered by her gift of healing through spiritual guidance. She is Cuban and Mexican indigenous born in Tucson, Arizona. Marisabel was raised on the Yaqui reservation until she was five. She later moved to the south mountain area in Phoenix.
As massage therapists were not considered essential workers during the pandemic, Marisabel fled to a magical village in Jala Nayarit, Mexico. During her stay, she taught a course for the villagers to learn basic massage techniques.
Marisabel also worked alongside a Shaman while there, learning about his teachings and practices while helping him perform rituals, cleanses, and prayer-guided meditation.
Her passion is in her practice and ability to perform with her spirit and magical hands. And now at this Sedona Spa she uses her abilities to help each and every client that walks through our doors.

What a fantastic experience! My husband and I visit Sedona twice a year. This time, he took me for my birthday, and I had always wanted to get a massage with Reiki. It was so special that Gateway Cottage Wellness Center offered both in one session. We called the day of, and I was skeptical that they would be able to accomodate us with such short notice, but they had an opening and were able to get me in within an hour.
My practitioner, Marisabel, was terrific. The moment I ment her, I felt at ease. Marisabel asked about my intention for the session , and after I left, I felt so much lighter and more positive. Using Shamanic Reiki during the massage, Marisabel created such a calimg and safe environment. I went with a sense of well-being and alignment I hadn’t felt in a long time. I had been suffering from horrible right shoulder pain for months and was planning on making a doctor’s appointment after our trip. Now I don’t have to; Marisabel’s work helped my shoulder pain go away. Two days after my massage, I am now able to sleep on that shoulder again and not wince in pain when reaching behind my back. She is a very talented practitioner and I highly recommend her.
