How to See Your Aura in a Picture

Auras are electromagnetic fields that surround humans, animals and even inanimate objects. Many people believe that the human aura can tell us more about the person than the physical body ever could. These auras can be accessed in a range of ways, and when assessed through an aura reading, they can tell us a lot about our emotional health and potentially even our physical health. Your aura colours say a lot about who you are, what you believe in, and even where you're going in life. That's why so many people strive to see auras, and will pay people in order to see their own aura.

Certain people have the ability to see auras without aura photography, through strict and intensive spiritual work. These people can see someone's aura and will be able to tell that person whether they have a green aura or a black aura, which layers of their aura lie where (i.e., in line with their third eye, or their solar plexus) and why. If that isn't you, however, do not fret. There are plenty of ways to see your aura.

1. The Guy Coggins camera

Built to take aura photos, the Guy Coggins camera allows people to see their own aura colours by using aura photography. The camera was built in 1970 and there are about 100 of them in existence. They take photos using double exposure and silver-laced hand sensors that send a charge through the body. The sensitive cameras then pick up the aura in aura photographs, resulting in images of people with glowing auras around them.

One way to access this method is by contacting the company Radiant Human in America who has one of these cameras and uses it to show people their aura. They will take images with you against a white wall or white light (any kind of white background that won't interfere with the images) and you will be shown multiple colours within your aura. Those with a strong aura may see more than others, but regardless it will show your different aura colours clearly.

2. Apps that let you see your own aura colours

Over a decade ago, an app to see your aura would have been a bizarre sentence. But now, in the modern world, you can see all sorts of things through your smartphone camera. These apps enable your phone camera to pick up the energy around you, demonstrating all sorts of pink auras, orange energy, and even multiple layers of your aura. This will allow you to see your flaws exposed, but also help you to plan for your near future knowing precisely who you are and what's in store.

One of the leading apps when it comes to aura photography is Aurla. The app uses a proprietary biofeedback algorithm to provide an aura reading and to create a photograph that shows your aura colours. You'll need to use the app somewhere with good natural light to allow the camera to work best.

There are other apps on the market that claim to use techniques similar to Kirlian photography, but anyone is permitted to make an app, so it is always important to take these sorts of aura readings with a pinch of salt.

3. Kirlian Photography

Kirlian photography was developed in 1939 by Seymon Devidovitch Kirlian. It involves photographic film on a metal plate. The subject of the photograph is placed onto the metal plate, and a voltage is sent through the plate. The photograph then captures the electrical coronal discharge between the object and the metal plate.

This technique was kept pretty quiet for a long time, only becoming known to the general public in around 1970. The photograph shows the energy around the person in the form of light. The bright energy appears in layers, and each different aura colour has a different meaning, in theory.

4. Auraphoto

There is also a service called Auraphoto that sells auraimaging products like digital aura cameras, aura image machines, and they even offer aura readings to those who purchase their products. Customers can buy the products and then rely on the company to determine what their auras mean, whether it is a blue, green, yellow, purple, violet or a red aura, or even a mixture of other colours; Auraphoto claim to be able to read your energies and tell you what they mean. For example, do they suggest that you are confident, or perhaps intuitive? Maybe they are out of balance, or suggest sensitivity and anger - Auraphoto will take their time to tell you.

What do aura colours mean?

Once you've got your aura photographed, you will inevitably want to assess the image yourself. To do so, you will need to know what aura colours mean. We have sessions available for chakra balancing should you wish for us to examine your aura colours for you or to simply balance your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. Here is a breakdown of each colour:

  • Red: a red aura means that you are energetic, passionate, and fiery. A red aura is linked to the root chakra, which suggests that your root chakra is stable.

  • Orange: an orange aura means that you are creative and sexual, and is linked to your sacral chakra. Orange in your aura means that you have to learn things the hard way.

  • Yellow: if you have yellow in your aura you are likely to be funny, charismatic and sunny. You're probably a people person and yellow aligns with your solar plexus chakra; linked with your identity and confidence.

  • Green: a green aura is usually linked to music, nature and freedom, as well as an open heart. In fact, it is even aligned with the heart chakra.

  • Pink: a pink aura suggests you're kind, caring and loving. It means that your heart chakra is open and receptive.

  • Blue: a blue aura means that you've got a powerful mind but that you're likely a little bit in the clouds. Blue auras align with the throat chakra, which is linked to expression and truth.

  • Purple: associated with strong intuition and sensitivity, the purple aura is linked to the third eye chakra that deals with intuition and empathy.
